Asking for donations from friends and family is always kinda weird, but here goes...
As you may or may not know, this past September my father-in-law, Arthur, lost a very quick battle with Pancreatic Cancer. So when I decided to participate in this year's Five Boro Bike Tour, deciding which charity to support was an easy decision.
The Five Boro Bike Tour is an annual cycling event in New York City. Conducted every year on the firstSunday of May, the 42-mile (68 km) ride includes over 30,000 riders. The route takes riders through all five of New York's boroughs (starting in Battery Park, ending at St. George Terminal, Staten Island), across five major bridges, Central Park, the FDR and the BQE.
As a part of Team LIVESTRONG, I’ve committed to raising funds to help the LIVESTRONG Foundation provide free resources and support to cancer survivors and their families. Not only will your gift help me reach my fundraising goal, but it will also go a long way to help those in need. I’ve established a personal website where you can learn more about my participation and contribute to the cause. No donation is too small—every dollar counts.
I’d like to thank you in advance for supporting my efforts. If you can’t donate, please think about joining me by registering at Teamlivestrong.org. And always remember, if you or your loved ones need help coping with cancer, contact the LIVESTRONG Foundation toll-free at 855.220.7777 or visit online to get free, confidential support.
Thank you and LIVESTRONG,
