I have a confession to make: I've been having a hard time working up to "the ask" this year. It's not because I'm not riding the 100 Miles of Nowhere to raise money for Camp Kesem through Livestrong. I am. It's not because I'm not riding the Livestrong Challenge in Davis with Team Fatty. I am. It's not because the folks at Livestrong aren't doing amazing work. They are. I've been wrestling with how to approach changed perceptions.
Thankfully, Livestrong and the wonderful people there are still working to help people navigate the rocky road they face after they or someone they love has been diagnosed with cancer. They are working with the YMCA to provide services to cancer patients, helping them regain health and fitness. They are working with schools to provide lessons for students, helping them understand the various stresses cancer places upon people.
I hope you will join me in supporting Livestrong as I prepare to ride the 100 Miles of Nowhere June 1 and the Livestrong Challenge in Davis June 23. Thank you for your continued support.
