When I was four years old, I was diagnosed with leukemia (to be precise: pre-B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia with a TEL-AML1 translocation). I was on chemotherapy for 3 years and 2 months. Every year, I visit the LIVESTRONG Survivorship Center at Dell Children's Medical Center to check my status and review plans for dealing with the long-term effects of chemotherapy.

To be honest, my cancer experience was easy. I didn't have many side-effects during treatment - mostly hair loss occasional nausea and I only spent six days in the hospital over the entire 3 years and 2 months of treatment, My family had great support from our friends, doctors, nurses, and local cancer organizations (including LIVESTRONG). My wish is that everyone dealing with cancer could get the information and support they need. LIVESTRONG is part of that future.

Please support me as I make a difference in the cancer fight through my participation in Team LIVESTRONG. Thank you!
